The impact that the eyebrows have on the appearance is a very big one, shaping the face harmoniously. The shape of the eyebrows is extremely important because it can completely change the face. Even if you have not been endowed with perfect eyebrows, you can outline them with the help of makeup.
Eyebrow makeup emphasizes the eyes and gives expression to the face, but it doesn't always emphasize the natural features, sometimes it totally transform them in the wrong way. One of the most common mistakes in choosing the wrong product.
It's very important to use an eyebrow pencil in the right shade, always lighter than your eyebrows, never darker, only if you have very blonde eyebrows. Dark eyebrows makes you look older and attract attention in an inappropriate way.
The most easy to use products, especially if you are on the run (in the morning) are eyebrow pencils. These are our favorites because they apply quickly and have a natural effect. We want a natural contouring of the eyebrows and the filling of the gaps, not to draw them. We have quite nice shaped eyebrows, so we don't need many adjustments. We don't want lamination or micropigmentation, so a pencil is enough.
In the past we have also used pomade or gel eyebrows, but they seem to us more suitable for people who want to fix their eyebrows in a certain shape (usually brushed up), we are not fans of this method, it doesn't look natural and in addition the gel seems to stiff the hair of the brows.
We used pencils from most of the brands on the market, both sharpened and retractable, but our favorites are those from Rimmel London (Brow this Way), Benefit and recently we also tested Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It is very thin and precise, it practically helps you to draw the hairs, you can draw extremely fine lines and the result obtained is a very natural one. In addition, the eyebrow combing brush is extremely good and fine, among the best we've used. The only drawback would be that the process is a little more painstaking, it takes longer than contouring with a regular pencil, so it takes a little more time.
We noticed that retractable pencils are much creamier and easier to apply than sharpened ones, but sometimes with them you tend to overcome the natural contour of the eyebrows. You have to try both types to see what suits you.
