First day of Spring

 

The spring has finally come! I can’t wait for the snow to melt and to enjoy the sun, the blooming trees and all the beautiful things that comes along with spring. Until then, I will wrap myself in fluffy and warm clothes.

I hope the first day of spring was amazing for you.  Here, in Romania, we have a beautiful tradition, called Martisor, the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of this wonderful season.

I love that the little trinkets called Martisoare are began to be again what were once, simple and with traditional motifs. Even a simple red and white ribbon worn on the wrist is enough because Martisorul is a symbol after all.

For today’s outfit I chose a red sweater in perfect contrast with the white snow, the colors of Martisor. During this cold period, simplicity is the key, I can’t dress elegant, I prefer to dress comfy to keep me warm, so the only way to bring the look of anonymity is a splash of color .

In sfarsit a venit primavara, cel putin din punct de vedere calendaristic. Abia astept sa scapam de zapada si frig si sa ne putem bucura de soare, culoare, pomi infloriti si tot ce e mai frumos.

Pana atunci ne infofolim cat mai bine si mai strangem putin din dinti 🙂

Sper ca ati avut parte de un 1 Martie frumos si ca ati primit martisoare dragute. Mi se pare o traditie asa frumoasa si modalitatea perfecta de a sarbatori venirea acestui minunat anotimp. Ma bucur mult ca martisoarele au inceput sa fie din nou ce au fost candva, am observat ca se pune din ce in ce mai mult accent pe motive traditionale si simplitate, s-a renuntat la „verzele” alea mari si kitsch care erau „la moda” cand eram noi mici. Chiar si simplul snur alb si rosu purtat la incheietura e suficient pentru ca martisorul e un simbol pana la urma.

Si ca sa fiu in ton cu martisorul, in tinuta de astazi port un pulover rosu, in contrast perfect cu albul zapezii. In aceasta perioada simplitatea e cuvantul de ordine, nu imi vine deloc sa ma imbrac elegant si sa ma aranjez, prefer tinute cat mai comode care sa imi tina de cald, asa ca singura modalitate de a scoate look-ul din anonimat e o pata de culoare.

Va doresc o primavara insorita si plina de zambete si optimism!
