If you read our blog for a long time you probably know that
\nwe don’t like to sit in the sun to get a tan and always use SPF to
\nprotect our skin from the harmful effects of the sun. However, we don’t deny that sometimes we’d like a tanned skin cause looks so good. So, sometimes we use self tanning. We tried some lotions in the last couple of years, but we weren’t happy with the results. Cristina
\n doesn’t want to hear of any self tanning lotions anymore because she says that none of them offers a natural look, but I’m always in searching of the perfect one.
\nA few weeks ago I received one of the
\nbest self tanning product, according to the beauty blogosphere: St. Moriz Instant Self
\nTanning Mousse in medium.<\/b> The mitt was out of stock on the site where I get the mousse, so I use gloves. The result was horrible, I have streaks all over, but luckily I washed quickly and the color disappeared. So I decided to apply it with my hands and then quickly wash using a special exfoliating shower glove. After I finish to exfoliate my hands, they were clean, but I had product under my nails and on my cuticles. I cleaned them with Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover
\nand then apply nail polish and I was like new.
\nWhat I liked is that this product does set straight away on the skin and gives instant color, but this means you have to work quickly.
\nNow to tell you about
\nthe actual effects: indeed it seems the best self tanner that I use, but
\nit’s nowhere near as expected after I read so many positive reviews and I noticed that is highly praised everywhere on the web.
\nIt
\n has the consistency of liquid mousse (it has quite a bit of water in it and sometimes you get the liquid separating from the mousse), but you have to move very
\nquickly because it dries very fast and it leaves dark patches. Also
\nin dry areas such as elbows or knees seems darker (I have dry knees so these show darker when I’ve applied the mousse to them), so you have to put a smaller amount or apply some moisturizer before.
\nAnother tip is to not use water after application for at least 6 hours. I
\n was washing my hands to remove the mousse and I splashed
\nwater on my left arm and I noticed stains exactly as those splashes.
\nAlso it’s better to dress up a few hours after application, but the good news is that it doesn’t stain your clothes.
\nThe resulting color is acceptable, a little too brown , but a day after the application becomes more natural. And don’t worry if at first it’s black \/ olive, this color disappears quickly and turn into brown.
\nAnother
\n bad news is that the shower, if you use a sponge and rub some areas you’re left with some patchy and uneven tan. I thought that once was „fixed”, this will not happen, but it seems that I was wrong. I took my first shower a day after application and I woke up with some spots as you can in one of the photos.
\nAnother minus is the smell<\/b>. Smells bad and unfortunately the smell linger a day or two on the skin.
\nIt can last up to 5 days depending on how often you wash. The last day is not very visible, but still you can noticed it a subtle color.<\/p>\n

\nDaca ne cititi blogul de mai multa vreme probabil stiti ca nu ne place sa stam la soare pentru a ne bronza si folosim mereu SPF pentru a ne proteja pielea de efectele nocive ale soarelui. Totusi, nu negam ca uneori ne-ar placea o piele bronzata pentru ca arata tare bine.
\nCum soarele si solarul ies automat din schema nu ne ramane decat sa apelam la autobronzante. Am incercat cateva de-a lungul timpului, insa nu am fost deloc multumite de rezultate. Cristina nu mai vrea sa auda de ele pentru ca i se pare ca niciunul nu ofera o culoare care sa para naturala, insa mie imi place mereu sa testez pentru ca doar asa pot gasi unul bun.
\nDe cateva saptamani am intrat in posesia unuia dintre cele mai bune autobronzante, daca e sa ne luam dupa review-urile din blogosfera: St.Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse<\/b><\/a>. Am stat in dubii ce nuanta sa aleg, insa in cele din urma am luat nuanta Medium<\/b>, pentru ca vroiam totusi sa se cunoasca efectul, insa sa nu fie nicio diferenta prea mare, avand in vedere ca am pielea foarte deschisa la culoare.
\nDin pacate, pe site-ul produsecosmetice.ro, de unde e autobronzantul, manusa speciala pentru aplicarea lui nu mai era in stoc si nici pe alte site-uri din Romania nu am gasit-o, asa ca am incercat initial cu manusi chirurgicale.  Rezultatul a fost unul destul de urat, m-am trezit numai cu dungi inestetice, dar noroc ca m-am spalat rapid si nu am ramas cu urme. Aceasta experienta negativa  m-a facut sa gasesc si o metoda de a scapa de el cu usurinta: manusa exfolianta pentru dus. Asa ca m-am decis sa il aplic cu mana si apoi sa exfoliez repede palmele cu manusa. Nu va zic cum aratau palmele mele, parca as fi spart nuci proaspete o zi intreaga :)) Dupa ce terminam o zona ma exfoliam si ma spalam imediat, asa ca la final nu am ramas patata, insa mi-a ramas produs pe cuticule si sub unghii. Mi le-am curatat cu Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover si apoi am aplicat oja (eram data doar cu lac transparent) si nu s-a mai cunoscut nimic:)
\nCe mi-a placut din prima la el e ca nu degeaba se numeste instant, adica
\n rezultatele chiar incep sa se vada imediat si se intensifica la cateva
\nore. Asta e bine pe de o parte, pentru ca vezi pe unde ti-ai dat si si pe unde nu, dar rau pe de alta, pentru ca daca aplici din greseala prea mult nu ai timp sa-l intinzi.
\nAcum sa va spun despre efectele propriu-zise:  intr-adevar mi se pare cel mai bun autobronzant pe care l-am folosit, insa nu e nici pe departe asa cum ma asteptam, dupa ce citisem atatea „ode” in cinstea lui pe internet.
\nIn primul rand e extrem de fals ca nu poti ramana cu pete si ca nu conteaza cum il intinzi. Are consistenta de spuma lichida (uneori iese si lichid din tub nu doar spuma, trebuie agitat bine) si trebuie sa te misti foarte repede si sa o intinzi pentru ca daca nu, se ingroasa si nu se mai intinde, ramane in acel loc si apoi zona aceea o sa fie mai inchisa.
\nDe asemenea in zonele uscate, cum ar fi coatele sau genunchii „prinde” mai bine, nu inteleg de ce, insa se fac mai inchise decat restul corpului, asa ca trebuie sa puneti o cantitate mai mica si sa o intindeti bine sau sa aplicati putina crema hidratanta inainte si sa o lasati sa intre in piele.
\nUn alt sfat ar fi ca nu trebuie sa va apropiati de apa dupa aplicare timp de cel putin cateva ore. Eu m-am spalat pe maini pentru a-l indeparta de pe palme si mi-au sarit stropi de apa si pe brate si mi-a ramas pata exact in forma acelor stropi.
\nDe asemenea nu e bine sa va imbracati cateva ore dupa aplicare, raman urme pe haine, insa vestea buna e ca petele ies la spalat.
\nCuloarea rezultata e acceptabila, nu e la fel ca si cea a bronzului obtinut la soare, dar in a doua zi de la aplicare devine mai placuta. Si nu va speriati daca la inceput e negru\/olive, aceasta nuanta dispare repede si se transforma in aramiu.
\nO alta veste proasta e ca la dus\/baie daca folositi un burete si frecati din greseala o zona, o sa ramaneti fara autobronzant si apoi se vede inestetic. Eu credeam ca o data ce s-a fixat, acest lucru nu se va mai intampla, insa se pare ca m-am inselat. Mi-am facut dus a doua zi de la aplicare si m-am trezit cu pete de toata frumusetea, dupa cum puteti in una din poze.
\nUn alt minus ar fi mirosul. Miroase (ca mai toate autobronzantele de altfel) urat, iar, din pacate, mirosul persista o zi-doua pe piele.
\nRezista cam patru-cinci zile, in functie si de cat de des va spalati. In ultima zi nu mai e foarte vizibil, dar oricum ceva, ceva se mai cunoaste.
\nEu astept sa intru in posesia manusii speciale si eventual o sa mai fac apoi un later edit la postare. Oricum, sunt convinsa ca se va aplica mult mai bine cu manusa decat cu mana.
\nDaca sunteti fane ale autobronzantelor, trebuie neaparat sa-l incercati; daca sunteti incepatoare cred ca mai bine va orientati spre lotiunea St. Moriz, ma gandesc ca se lucreaza mai usor cu ea, ca se intinde mai bine si nu intra in piele asa rapid.<\/p>\n
