\nIf you follow us on Facebook, you’ve probably seen that we finally managed to change our page name after years of trying. I created our Facebook page 4 years ago, in April 2011, while the blog was still on blogspot, so I’ve copied the blog URL: anotherside-dorina.blogspot.com and that was the name of our page. Not the best decision, because soon Cristina started to write on the blog with me and and later we’ve bought our own domain. Even if we’ve tried so many times to change the name of our Facebook page, we couldn’t, cause this option is available only for pages with less than 200 likes. We’ve tried several methods over the years, but nothing worked, I only managed to change the link into facebook.com\/AnothersideOfMeBlog still better than nothing. Recently, Facebook has offered the possibility of changing the name of the page regardless of the number of likes if you have a pertinent reason, but only in the US. I’ve found an add-on that help you change your location, so, in this way, I’ve finally managed to change the name into AnotherSide of Me, as we’ve always wanted. Here are all the steps you must follow to do the change:<\/b><\/div>\n

\n1. Click on this link and install HOLA<\/a>;<\/div>\n
\n2. After installing this extension, open Facebook.com in same browser;<\/div>\n
\n3. Now click the Hola icon situated on top right side of the browser and select US flag, so your location is being changed to USA ;<\/div>\n
\n4. Go to your Facebook page an click on about and then click on Edit name; <\/div>\n
\n5. You will see the option \u201cRequest Change\u201d which previously wasn’t available; Right click on it and open it in a new window;<\/div>\n
\n6. After that will appear „I need to change the name of my page” and tick on „I understand the formatting guidelines for may Page\u2019s new name”;<\/div>\n
\n7. Now fill your desired Facebook page name;<\/div>\n
\n8. Where you got the question \u201cWhy you want to change your page name\u201d, select the option „I am re-branding my page”;<\/div>\n
\n9. Now you are required to attach a document stating that you have a website with that name or a
\ngood reason why you want to make the change. I have attached a .doc file in
\nwhich I briefly explained that I changed my blog name and this name doesn’t suit me anymore.<\/div>\n
\n10. Press the send button;<\/div>\n
\nSoon you will receive an email from Facebook
\nin which they say they will review your request and will get back to you.
\nLater, I received an email from them telling me that the old
\npage name and the one I have chosen now are very different and the change
\nwill occur over 14 days. Perhaps, if you choose something similar to the

\nDaca ne urmariti pe pagina de Facebook, probabil ati vazut ca am reusit in sfarsit sa ne schimbam numele paginii, dupa ani de incercari. Pagina o creasem acum 4 ani, in aprilie 2011, pe cand blogul era inca pe blogspot si atunci, la denumirea paginii copiasem exact URL blogului: anotherside-dorina.blogspot.com.<\/div>\n
\nLa scurt timp a inceput si Cristina sa scrie pe blog si mai tarziu am trecut blogul pe domeniu, insa nu am mai putut schimba numele paginii, deoarece aceasta optiune e accesibila doar paginilor cu mai putin de 200 de like-uri. Am tot incercat de-a lungul timpului diverse metode, dar nimic nu a functionat, am reusit sa schimb doar link-ul in facebook.com\/AnothersideOfMeBlog, tot mai bine decat nimic.<\/div>\n
\nRecent, Facebook a oferit posibilitatea de schimbare a numelui paginii indiferent de numarul de like-uri daca ai un motiv pertinent, insa doar in SUA. Tot cautand pe net am dat peste un tutorial in care am descoperit cum poti face acest lucru daca nu esti din SUA. Procedeul dureaza 14 zile si chiar am fost uimita de precizia cu care au efectuat operatiunea. Am primit mail pe 3 aprilie, ora 22:47 si pe 17 aprilie, la ora 22:47, numele a fost schimbat. Acum sa va spun cum:<\/div>\n

\n1. Instalati Hola<\/a>, un add-on care va ajuta sa vizionati site-uri interzise in tara voastra. Cu ajutorul lui va puteti schimba locatia.<\/p>\n

\n2. Deschideti Facebook<\/div>\n
\n3. Dati click pe „fetisoara” (logo Hola) din bara de sus a browser-ului si selectati ca tara USA- dati click pe steguletul Americii si veti observa ca vi se va schimba locatia;<\/div>\n
\n4. dati un refresh la Facebook si apoi clik pe sectiunea About;<\/div>\n
\n5. o sa va apara Page info, iar a doua optiune e „Name”. Dati click pe edit name;<\/p>\n

\n6. Va va aparea optiunea Request change (care e valabila doar in USA); Dati click dreapta pe ea si deschideti intr-o fereastra noua;<\/div>\n
\n7. Va va aparea optiunea „I need to change the name of my page” si apoi trebuie sa bifati: „I understand the formatting guidelines for may Page\u2019s new name”;<\/div>\n
\n8. Completati campurile cu noul nume al paginii si la optiunea in care sunt intrebati de ce doriti sa schimbati, selectati „I am rebranding my page”;<\/div>\n
\n9. Trebuie sa atasati si un document care sa ateste ca detineti un website cu acel nume sau un motiv intemeiat pentru care doriti sa efectuati schimbarea. Eu am atasat un fisier .doc in care am explicat pe scurt ca mi-am schimbat numele blogului si am trecut si pe domeniu si astfel numele vechi al paginii nu mai era valabil.<\/div>\n
\n10. Apasati butonul send. La scurt timp veti primi un mail de la Facebook in care vi se spune ca vor analiza cererea voastra si vor reveni cu un raspuns. <\/div>\n
\nUlterior, am mai primit un mail de la ei in care ma anuntau ca numele vechi al paginii si cel pe care l-am ales acum sunt foarte diferite si de aceea schimbarea se va produce peste 14 zile. Probabil daca alegeti ceva mai asemanator cu numele initial va dura mai putin. Nu va speriati daca in ziua in care se implinesc 14 zile nu se schimba numele, se va schimba exact la ora la care v-a fost trimis mailul \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n
