Our first holiday outside the country after the one in Barcelona<\/a> (where we were right before the pandemic started) was in the Azores, a holiday that we had been dreaming about for a few years and which we had scheduled with our friends from The Travelling Sisters for over a year and a half. Although we had great emotions until the last minute we arrived there, we managed to visit Sao Miguel, the largest and most populated island in the Portuguese archipelago Azores.<\/p>\n

We stayed in Ponta Delgada, the capital of Sao Miguel island because from here it is the easiest way to reach all the sights but also because we wanted to visit the city.<\/p>\n

We chose to stay at the Canadiano Urban Nature Hotel<\/strong><\/a>, a recently renovated three-star hotel, where everything was new and super clean. The hotel is located close to the city center, but also to the airport (we did about 10-15 minutes by car from the airport) and we reached on foot all the touristic attractions, the town being quite small.<\/p>\n

Candiano Urban Hotel has 48 rooms and every room has a balcony, being an urban oasis. The view from the courtyard is very beautiful, with palm trees and flowers, and the view from our balcony was so nice, we really enjoyed it.<\/p>\n

The rooms are very spacious, the beds are large and comfortable, we slept so well! Also, in the rooms you can find everything you need during your stay (including body lotion and full size hair conditioner, which we haven't seen at other hotels), refrigerator, safe, office, TV, and good WI-Fi, better than our mobile data internet.<\/p>\n

The hotel also provided us the necessary towels for the visits to the natural thermal pools, so there is no need to carry yours from home, which means less luggage \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

There is also a lounge area with a library where you can read books or study guides about the Azores, both in English and Portuguese.<\/p>\n

Canadiano Urban Hotel also has parking, which is a big plus because the parking spaces on the streets are quite narrow and we would have been afraid to leave the rented car there, there is a risk of being scratched.<\/p>\n

Breakfast is free and is quite varied, from milk and cereals, porridge, scrambled eggs and bacon to fruit, detox juices and grilled vegetables.<\/p>\n

The staff is very friendly and attentive, we really liked them. They are available 24 hours a day at the reception. We also turned to the taxi service that they provide for a fee, so if on the first or last day you dont have the rented car you can call them, they took us with the Van from the airport.<\/p>\n

Canadian Urban Hotel seemed to us the perfect option for the visit to the Azores, it was exactly what we needed, we recommend it, being accessible both in price and as a location in the city. You can mak a reservation both on their site<\/a> and Booking<\/a> and you can find them on social media if you have any questions about the hotel.<\/p>\n
