Old elegance is gone

I discovered this article the other day- it’s about how adults dress today compared to how they dressed in the past. I found it very interesting and made me realize that lately I saw a lot of older ladies in jeans and casual jackets or elegant pants and trainers and the timeless elegance and glamour are already history. It’s not necessarily bad trying to adapt to the new trends, but I would like to see more often ladies in classic tweed suits, elegant dresses or vintage accessories, chic and who don’t want to look a few decades younger.

I know today we aim to be “forever young” even if this means plastic surgery, excessive makeup and inadequate clothing, but I want to see dapper outfits on the street, not only in magazines. A few weeks ago I saw an elderly man with a nice suit, a fitted coat and a fedora hat that was so elegant that I wished to take a photo of him for Instagram. Probably he thought that I’m crazy because I gazed at him in amazement, but I want that such people to represent at least a minority, not an exception, to inspire the young and show them what elegance and decency is.

We promised in the previous article that we will show you our outfits underneath the coats. I chose this adorable, classy two pieces set from VIPme, while Cristina chose a casual, modern outfit. This purple set seems so vintage, it would have been perfect for a dancing tea 🙂

I had just the tea at an Indian inspired cafe and then I danced in the snow as you can see in the video 🙂 Although the light was extremely bad we managed to take a few snaps with a colorful Indian vibe, which we hope you like 🙂

Pup!
